When things go wrong it’s unusual for the system to fail it’s more likely to be a people and behaviour failure. Behavioural Based Risk Management is a little known but important aspect in business excellence dedicated to identifying risk with the aim of preventing unintended events from taking place.

This new type of risk management is future predictive not retrospectively auditing after the event, and correcting past incidents and mistakes. It prevents potentially expensive human, business, financial, insurance and brand reputation dangers from occurring.

The Group

JIG is the parent company which comprise Jasper Associates Limited UK, Jasper International India Private Limited and Jasper International Middle East and North Africa [MENA]. Jasper are evidence based and insightful where our success is measured by the business impact we make to a clients organisation. We focus on Improvement Science [IS] and Value System Design [VSD] which is different from, yet complementary to, incremental improvement methods. VSD starts with specifying exactly what a service needs to look like in the future if it is going to provide improved safety, quality, delivery and affordability.

Human Capital is the share, value or library of competencies, knowledge and personality attributes embodied in the ability of people to perform labour so as to produce economic value for a company and a society. It is the attributes gained by a worker through education and experience (wisdom). There is such a thing as investment in human capital as well as investment in material capital. This human resource can be transformed into Human Capital with effective inputs of education, guidance, coaching health and moral values.

Value System Design

RIA RIA

Value System Design distils the very best of the improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints and Systems Thinking, we embed this methodology with our robust designed technologies.

Improvement Science, [IS] describes how to improve complex socioeconomic systems. IS has emerged over the last 50 years as a synthesis of many previously separate disciplines including psychology, sociology, operations, economics, computer science and mathematics. We combine this science with cutting edge tools and our understanding of systems thinking techniques and change your organisation.

Knowledge Equity (= knowledge capital – knowledge liability) plus emotional capital (= emotional capital – emotional liability) equals goodwill or immaterial/intangible value of the company [Trust - Using Emotionally Intelligent Leadership].

Intangible Value of the company (goodwill) plus (material) equity equals the total value of the company.

Systems Science and Systems Thinking

Systems thinking is the process of understanding how things influence one another within a whole. In nature, systems thinking examples include ecosystems in which various elements such as air, water, movement, plants, and animals work together to survive or perish. In organizations, systems consist of people, structures, and processes that work together to make an organisation healthy or unhealthy. Systems Thinking has been defined as an approach to problem solving, by viewing “problems” as parts of an overall system, rather than reacting to specific part, outcomes or events and potentially contributing to further development of unintended consequences. Systems thinking compliments our approach to Value System Design and Improvement science.
